Chris Brown, Chairman of Stroud & District Athletic Club and Chris Bourne the Senior Partner of Griffiths Marshall Accountants are pleased to announce a further two year extension of their sponsorship of Dan Robinson which will help support Dan in his preparations for the Commonwealth Games to be held in India in 2010 and hopefully beyond. Chris Bourne stated he was pleased to be associated with Dan’s achievements to date and wishes him continued success in the future.

Chris Brown stated that he was grateful to Griffiths Marshall for again matching the Club’s sponsorship of Dan. Dan is one of Great Britain’s most successful marathon runners. In addition to being very talented Dan is very much a modest local man who is an excellent role model for everyone at the Athletic Club which includes one of the strongest youth endurance sections in the UK. Many of the older lads are now breaking into senior ranks for both England and Scotland. I am confident that over the next 5 years more local runners, both male and female will gain senior international vests. Dan is extremely supportive of Club runners at all levels from nervous beginners to top club runners.

Now he has become a dad Dan is keen to promote the thriving group of U11 children in the fundamental athletics group and looks forward to his son Jasper following in his footsteps.
