Chris brings over 50 years of experience in general practice and has supported many long‑standing clients over multiple generations. Having qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1982, he then went on to qualify with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1986 and has been a much‑loved member of the Griffiths Marshall team since 1990.While gradually reducing his workload, Chris continues to contribute his expertise and enjoys watching the business evolve. He now focuses on a select group of clients, passing on administrative responsibilities to the wider team.Outside of work, Chris is looking forward to spending more time travelling, particularly to visit his granddaughter, Lily, in Australia. He remains active through cycling and walking and enjoys growing his stamp collection.

Paul is a steady, pragmatic presence within Griffiths Marshall. He began his career in 2002 at a small practice in Lydney before joining Paish Tooth as a trainee in 2007, qualifying with ACCA in 2010. He became Associate Director in 2017 and moved into his current Director role following the firm’s acquisition by Griffiths Marshall in 2022.Paul oversees a varied portfolio of clients and works closely with Steve Price to lead the accounts team, ensuring clients always feel supported and well informed. He provides clear, practical tax and accounting advice to owner‑managed businesses and particularly enjoys helping growing businesses. Paul is also committed to developing the wider team, sharing his experience to support their progression.Outside the office, Paul is rooted in the Forest of Dean, where he has lived all his life. He coaches his son’s under‑10 football team, the Broadwell Blues, supports his children’s many interests and enjoys relaxing by walking the family Labrador through the forest.

Steve joined Griffiths Marshall in 1990 and, since qualifying in 1995, has developed wide-ranging expertise across all areas of general practice. He has a strong interest in probate, where his thorough and considered approach is particularly valued.Before moving into accountancy, Steve worked in the farming industry, gaining substantial experience across dairy, sheep, beef, and arable farming. This background gives him a practical understanding of rural businesses and the challenges they face.Outside of work, Steve continues to help run his family sheep and beef farm in north Gloucestershire alongside his wife and son. He also enjoys travelling and is an enthusiastic supporter of his son’s cricket and tennis activities.

He plays a hands‑on role in supporting and managing the accounts team alongside Paul, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard.Steve works closely with clients on their tax enquiries, prepares annual accounts and provides regular management information to help businesses stay on track. His practical, approachable style keeps everything running smoothly — he’s someone the whole team can rely on.Outside of work, Steve is kept busy with his three children and their various sporting commitments, often found carpooling to matches or watching from the sidelines. A keen sportsman, he was once a very active rugby player and now enjoys fitting in a round of golf whenever he can.

Greg first joined Griffiths Marshall on a day‑release scheme while training as a footballer with Cheltenham Town FC. He moved into a full‑time role in 2006 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. Today, he leads the audit team.Much of Greg’s time is spent on the road visiting clients, something he genuinely enjoys. He values meeting people, building relationships and being the adviser clients call when they need to talk things through. Over the years, he has developed a strong expertise in auditing medium and large groups as well as working with franchise businesses, understanding the quirks of various sectors and building a useful network of contacts. His approachable, practical style – and the fact he’s always at the end of the phone – makes him a trusted support to the organisations he works with.Outside of work, Greg’s time is largely spent with his young family. Weekends often involve taking his son to football, keeping fit when he can, and making the most of family holidays while the children are still young. When time allows, he enjoys a round of golf.

Ian is Managing Director at Griffiths Marshall – a natural leader with a strong focus on innovation and growth. He joined as a trainee in 2000, qualified in 2005 and became the firm’s youngest ever partner in 2009. Having spent many years working across all areas of the practice, much of his time is now devoted to business development and shaping the future direction of the firm.Despite his strategic role, Ian remains hands‑on, often leading our initial consultation calls to ensure all clients’ needs are identified and met from the outset. His passion lies in helping ambitious entrepreneurs move beyond compliance to achieve meaningful growth, driving the expansion of the firm’s business advisory services.Outside of work, Ian enjoys golf – particularly at corporate and charity events – and is heavily involved in his three children’s busy sporting schedules. He can regularly be found dashing between training sessions, matches and tournaments.

Our Client Care Team oversees all client onboarding and administrative functions across our busy offices, acting as the organised, reliable link between our clients and every department. They liaise with the full team, support our Directors with essential admin tasks, and help ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice. Alongside this, they also manage Reception, providing a warm and professional welcome to anyone visiting or contacting the firm.

This team plays an important role in shaping the Griffiths Marshall experience from the inside out. Bringing together operations, people and marketing, it includes three distinct roles within the firm, each with its own area of expertise. Working closely together, they help ensure our values are embedded in our culture, reflected in our messaging, and felt by clients in every service we provide.

Paula Aston — Head of People

Paula leads our people function, supporting recruitment, employee experience and the development of a positive, values-led culture across the firm.

Pascal Neumann — Head of Operations

Pascal oversees the firm’s operations while also leading our Business Advisory team, helping drive performance, improvement and growth both internally and for our clients.

Pippa Butler — Marketing Executive

Pippa leads our day-to-day marketing activity, shaping how Griffiths Marshall communicates its brand, services and values across every touchpoint.
