What is GoCardless

• GoCardless is a secure online tool which makes it easy for you to pay us by Direct Debit
• Direct Debit is a well known and trusted payment method used globally, so you are probably already familiar with it
• Whilst Direct Debit is our preferred method, by prior arrangement, we can send you a link to make a one-off payment through GoCardless Instant Bank Pay - this connects you to your bank for you to authorise the payment – once made you will receive an instant confirmation

The Benefits

• You only need to set it up once for Griffiths Marshall Business Advisory Limited for accounting and tax fees, and once for Griffiths Marshall Business Support Limited if you also use us for your payroll and booking services
• You will be sent an invite to complete an online form which will then automatically collect the fee
• Unless you change your bank account details, you won’t need to worry about updating your payment details
• You will know exactly how much you’re paying and when it will debit your account, which can help with budgeting
• It helps us to keep our costs competitive and continue to give our clients best value for money

Keeping Control of your Finances

• You are notified that a payment is coming out in advance, giving you the chance to raise any issues about the payment
• Direct Debits are protected in the UK under the Direct Debit Guarantee, meaning you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund for any payment taken in error
• You can cancel the Direct Debit Mandate at any time, for example through your online banking, which will stop any future payments
• GoCardless is ISO 27001 accredited, this is a widely recognised, internationally accepted standard for information security. It is also authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority to provide payment services and an Authorised Payment Institution
