The government is implementing its Making Tax Digital (MTD) initiative over the coming years, with the aim of creating a ‘transparent and accessible tax system fit for the digital age’.

VAT was the first tax to be reportable under MTD and businesses within the scope of MTD keeping are now keeping their records digitally, using approved MTD functional compatible software.

Moving your processes over to a compatible digital system ahead of time will help to ensure that you are ready when the legislation takes full effect and may also help to improve your business’s efficiency and productivity in the long-term.
